Display of Love

Verve Vertu art part of "Display of Love"

The work of several Verve Vertu Artists will be part of the "Display of Love" exhibit on November 10, 2016, 5-8pm at T.W. Shoemaker Art, 312 Wyoming Avenue, Wyoming, Pennsylvania 18644. Please join us to see their work and the work of other artists.

"Display of Love is a community art project focusing on the themes of love, diversity, peace and non-violence. It is an opportunity for artists locally and from around the world to come together as a unified force against hate and violence.

This project was developed because art can bring people together and has the power to captivate and teach. It can raise spirits and break down barriers. This is our opportunity for love to have a voice in a world where violence is on the rise.We have a responsibility to build safe, strong communities and a future void of hate, violence and fear. Individually and together, in our homes and in our communities, we can bring positive change to the world. This project and the participating artists are the creative voice to inspire that change."

The 4th Annual Arts on the Square - Saturday, July 30th Noon-8:00pm Courthouse Square, Scranton

The 4th Annual Arts on the Square will take place on July 30th from Noon – 8PM! This all day event will wrap around Courthouse Square with 2 stages filled with talented local musicians, performing arts as well as children’s activities, and over 100 vendors! Please RSVP by June 17, 2016 so we have enough starter kits available. Kombucha known as the Immortal Health Elixir by the Chinese, is a fermented beverage of tea and sugar. After being fermented Kombucha becomes carbonated. It's been known to improve digestion, increase energy with enzymes and b vitamins, detoxifies the body, immune support, and may reduce joint pain. Kombucha preserves collagen, and helps boost metabolism. It may assist in counteracting liver cell toxicity, leaky gut stomach ulcers and candida. It is a probiotic. Vitamin C is present and is considered one of its ingredients which may protect against joint cell damage.
